Rotrex superchargers are the latest in forced induction systems offering high efficiency, compactness, reliability and silent operation. The C range consists of the NEW C8, C15, C30, C38 and NEW C38 -91/-92 families.


The Rotrex C8 is the most compact centrifugal supercharger on the market
today. Rotrex C8 is a range of centrifugal superchargers for large variety of
applications where the compactness is one of the key issues. Countless
number of small applications can now be boosted by this very efficient
and silent unit. The C15, C30 and C38 cover the market all the way up to the large displacement Australian muscle cars. With the NEW C38 -91/-92 Rotrex Superchargers we are expecting Great things.

Technology - Concept

Key to the Rotrex supercharger's unique compactness, efficiency, low noise and reliability is its state of the art traction drive technology.

Great speeds and low noise are just some of the advantages of traction drives over traditional gear transmissions. Traction drives transmit power through friction forces between its rolling elements.

Design & Production

The traction technology inside every Rotrex supercharger demands extremely accurate components and assembly. The manufacturing of our superchargers is therefore highly developed, involving efficient quality control and supply chain management.

Rotrex Oil System

The Rotrex patented traction drive uses an elastic annulus with a small pre-span to secure contact between the roller planets and the sun shaft with a reasonable force. The patented "ramp effect" increases efficiency and reliability in the transmission by regulating the torque transfer capability on demand through self-adjusting planet geometry.

To enhance performance, the Rotrex traction drive uses a special traction fluid. These fluids are a new family of synthetic hydrocarbon oils and greases offering a series of unique performance advantages. Developed specially for its use in Rotrex superchargers, the SX100 momentarily increases viscosity under high surface pressure, enhancing the traction drive performance by securing the optimum friction between rolling elements while cooling and protecting the system.

This traction drive combined with the latest technology in centrifugal compression, characterized by high adiabatic efficiency and low noise, gives Rotrex superchargers an exceptional competitive edge over any other forced induction solution.

DIY (Do It Yourself) Supercharger Kits

The DIY kits were introduced to cater for the workshop or installer who wants to design their own intercooler and piping setup, but doesn’t want to have to design complicated Supercharger mounting bracketry. This alleviates the need for costly laser aligning tools to make sure the drive belt is tracking correctly as well as the hassle of getting brackets designed and laser cut.

All DIY kits are initially designed on vehicles before being accurately drawn on the latest Engineering programs and perfected by our in-house design team. The kit is then put through its paces in both dyno tuning and on road testing before being released to the public.

The basic components of the DIY kits are:
Rotrex Supercharger (correctly sized for the engine application)
Oiling kit and Oil Cooler
Supercharger drive pulley
Supercharger mounting bracketry
Drive Belt
Drive belt tensioner setup (if needed)
Additional crankshaft drive pulley (if needed)
Associated fasteners

Individual Rotrex Superchargers are also available for those installers who would like to design the entire kit themselves.
